We’re thrilled to announce that the Idaho Blues Society has officially been approved as an Affiliate Member of the Blues Foundation!

The Blues Foundation, based in Memphis, is the world’s leading organization dedicated to preserving blues music and supporting the artists, educators, organizations, and communities that keep the blues alive.

Becoming an affiliate member strengthens our ability to share resources and ideas with other blues organizations, build new opportunities for Idaho musicians, educators, young people, and blues lovers, and preserve the rich history of the blues.

And this accomplishment belongs to all of us—our members, musicians, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who comes out to hear the blues. Thank you for helping keep the blues alive in Idaho.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come—and excited about where we’re going next with the Idaho blues community!

August 4: The Jeff Engelbert Band

August 11: The Silverbacks

The Silverbacks are a group of veteran musicians who deliver energetic performances rooted in Chicago, British, and West Coast blues, while mixing in classic blues-rock favorites, dance tunes, and original songs. Their shows are known for strong musicianship, dual lead guitars, and a fun atmosphere.

August 18: The Sawtooth Blues Band

Fronted by sultry powerhouse vocalist Alabama-born Casie "Bama" Jones, the Sawtooth Blues Band offers up a diverse setlist that draws from blues legends while adding a contemporary edge that keeps every performance fresh. From soulful slow blues to high-energy dance numbers, the band's seasoned musicians create an unforgettable live music experience that appeals to dedicated blues fans and casual listeners alike.

August 25: The Deb Michels Gang

The Deb Michels Gang is described by fans as “charisma, power, soul – amazing music from amazing musicians!” The band plays blues classics and originals written by Band Leader Deb Michels, who guarantees a “fun, creative, bold, and and soulful evening for you.”
